The UMC Utrecht is easily accessible by car, bike or public transport. Because of the busy roads around Utrecht and the limited parking space, the UMC Utrecht asks its employees to come to work by bike or public transport as often as possible. That way, the UMC Utrecht remains more easily accessible to its patients.
It is possible to reserve Utrecht Science Park rental bikes. These are available at several locations in Utrecht Science Park.
You can use the ‘Uithoflijn’, a direct tram line between the Utrecht Central Station and the UMC Utrecht.

Employees can use three (paid) car parks. Parking spaces for employees can be found at:
- P+R Utrecht Science Park; the car park at the exit of the A28. To drive from the parking garage to the UMC you can make free use of the P + R bus or Uithof tram. For this you need the Uithof Vrij Abonnement. This is a U-OV subscription that can be added to your personal or anonymous public transport chip card for free. Contact the Facility Service Center for more information.
- Parking garage Zuid; this is the car park at the main entrance of the AZU hospital
- Parking garage Noord; the car park at the CMH and WKZ hospitals
